We had an amazing time staying at a lovely old cottage on the edge of a farm. The cottage was beautifully refurbished and had all the modern amenities we needed. The location was perfect for cycling, walking, and exploring the area. The underfloor heating and well-appointed kitchen were a great bonus. We loved sitting in the garden, watching the new lambs and calves in the sunshine. The quiet setting and stunning interior of the cottage made our stay truly delightful. The huge garden with a fire pit was a fantastic addition, allowing us to enjoy the clear skies at night. We were also thrilled to see animals grazing in the fields, including hares, pheasants, and swallows. The cottage's location was convenient for visiting nearby attractions like Wigtown, Port William, and Monreith beach. We even took the time to explore Whithorn and the Isle of Whithorn, immersing ourselves in the Celtic history of the area. A highlight of our stay was visiting the Logan Botanical Gardens, which showcased a wide variety of plants thriving in the warm air from the Gulf Stream. we had a wonderful experience at Derrie Farm Cottage and would highly recommend it.
